What causes a child to decide to bring a weapon to school, and open fire on their peers and teachers? Are these shooters ‘mentally ill’ as the media portrays them to be, or is there more to the story? What is the profile of these types of shooter? While examining the lives of 10 of the most infamous school shooters in the country, this study seeks to determine if these acts of violence are premeditated or are they a spur of the moment decision. The shooters, Eric Harris, Barry Loukaitis, Drew Golden, Dylan Klebold, Kip Kinkel, Luke Woodham, T.J. Lane, Evan Ramsey, and Jeffrey Weise are profiled into one of three separate typologies: psychopathic, psychotic, or traumatized.en_US
